Sonar Auto

Sonar Auto- Factory settings

Sonar Auto

If you owned a sonar company you would understand that the customer didn't want to spend a lot of time adjusting his unit every time he turned it on. what he wants is to turn the unit on and go fishing. He wants the unit to self adjust to it’s environment and tell him all the information he needs to find bottom structure, water depth, and where the fish are.

Today's computer sonar have different, faster, processors than they did just two years ago.
Just look at today's phones compared to two years ago.

Today most high end sonar units self adjust virtually instantly so you don't have to fiddle, just fish.

If it was your company you would put the settings for auto to give the customer all the information he needs under 95% of all conditions he might encounter.

To see if your unit has this capacity:

1) Turn it on and go to simulator mode and turn it on

2) Go to sensitivity and turn it on. Do nothing, watch the simulator and see if the sensitivity is turned up when the bottom drops to a deeper distance and if it turns down when the distance is shallow.
If the sensitivity is adjusting it is self automating. This tells you that you need to just turn the unit on and go fishing. Let auto do the work.

Auto is your friend.
